Biography:
Ariel is a central character in several Disney animated properties, most famously known from Disney's 1989 animated feature film, The Little Mermaid. She is a 16-year-old mermaid princess, the youngest daughter of King Triton, ruler of Atlantica.

Ariel possesses a rebellious and adventurous spirit, often dreaming of life beyond the underwater world. Her fascination with humans leads her to collect human artifacts in her secret grotto, much to the disapproval of her father and her trusted friend, Sebastian the crab.

Driven by her desire for human experiences and spurred by a deal with the sea witch Ursula, Ariel trades her voice for legs. This deal sets in motion a series of events that challenge her relationships and ultimately lead to a battle for her happiness and the safety of Atlantica.

The character's design is iconic, featuring long, flowing red hair and a vibrant green tail. Jodi Benson is the primary voice actress for Ariel in most major appearances.
